Download YouTube videos to your HDD
By Cranoo
Do you know it's possible to download videos to your hard-drive from YouTube and listen to them any time you want even when they have been taken down from YouTube? It's even possible to download any flash video to your hard-drive too, i'll keep this hub short because there isn't an awful lot to explain.
There were alot of programs out there that allowed you to download from YouTube and some of them worked well but since YouTube updated it's code these programs are outdated and don't work at all, there is a few left that do work but these cost money but I spent alot of time searching for a good program that works.
You simply enter the url of the YouTube video you want to download to your hard-drive and it also converts the film into 8 different types which are: MPEG4, Xvid, MOV, 3GP, DivX, WMV, Song PSP and MP3.
You can download it here. It's called flv-to-avi and it's even better than the paid programs and i've tried them all.
I haven't tried it out on other video-sharing websites such as metacafe etc. so I don't know if it works on these but you can give it a try, I have tested it on a few flash sites that don't give you an option to download and it works perfectly on these.
Please leave a comment if you found this helpful or need any further help, thank you!
